Battering Ram

The story behind the design:

So, as I was creating the dwarven race for my book Blood of the Exalted, I wanted to have something unique to be a characteristic of this race. In the past, I was a huge fan (still am) of Rube Goldberg. I always found creative ways to solve pulling/pushing objects from a distance. I thought this would be an excellent concept for the dwarves in the world of Zenkalen.

Throughout the concept phase of my Thesis, many iterations of design concepts happened. However, it wasn't until taking Sacred Geometry that things all clicked and the final design appeared. This battering ram uses the counterweight of a trebuchet as a mallet of sorts to hit the ram shaft like a hammer. The impact of the ram bouncing against the object the dwarfs would be hoping to knock down would reset the ram shaft back into place and make it ready for another pull and release of the ropes of the counterweight.
